The EGG Brussels opens its doors to an increasing number of foreign companies. Discover how The EGG Brussels has very quickly succeeded in convincing foreign companies to organise their international conferences.

The EGG Brussels is very close to the Midi Station and has a 5,000 m² multi-purpose conference facility. Thanks to this central location, this conference centre benefits from everyday connections with major cities such as London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, etc. It is also competitively priced compared to other capitals. The perfect opportunity to take an outing and discover a new city.

The advantages of ‘The Egg’ according to Gilles Baudier, General Manager, are the strategic location, but also the small team with ‘one point of contact’. “In-depth knowledge about the customers, great flexibility and a high level of service also help of course.”

“Our greatest asset is the internet availability with optic fibres of up to 100 Mbps synchro, installed in all the rooms, and we can also personalise networks. We provide international conferences with a lot of streaming facilities for instance. And we have a back-up line of 500 Mbps.”

“Our aim from the very outset has been to maintain the character of the building and add a modern touch”, Gilles Baudier went on to say. Since 2014, the focus has moved to conferences and trade fairs. “The product that we market is an all-in-one concept. Our experience with ‘Event Lounge’ that is more targeted at events has taught us that this concept works well. But, we also focus on conferences at ‘The Egg’.”

All rooms benefit from excellent technical set-ups. We have an auditorium for instance that can accommodate 900 people and four break-out rooms for 100 to 450 people in total. “Our customers can be broken down into three groups”, added the GM. “45% are government institutions and the European Commission, 30% are B2B customers and 25% events agencies. We don’t really organise private events; that is not our target group.”

Security is also a major priority. “We work very closely with the police and the local council”, said Gilles Baudier. “Timetables are sent through to the police and we also have monthly meetings with them.”

In April ‘The Egg Brussels’ opened a stunning new terrace so that it can also offer outdoor activities so that everyone can benefit from the sunshine. This 250 m² outdoor area is suitable for activities for up to 150 people. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is ideal for delicious cocktails or BBQs with colleagues under the blue sky. And because the weather in Brussels can sometimes be a little uncertain ‘The Egg’ always has a Plan B. The terrace adjoining the restaurant has the ideal solution when the weather is less clement.
